Install the current test version
ChutChut is awaiting store approval. The current build uses the browser-supported unpacked extension process.
- Download the file ending in -chrome.zip (works for Chrome, Brave, and Edge) or -firefox.zip for Firefox, then unzip it.
- Open brave://extensions, edge://extensions, or chrome://extensions.
- Turn on Developer mode and select Load unpacked.
- Choose the unzipped folder itself — it contains manifest.json at its top level.
- Pin the red maple leaf and choose your language.

Mobile browser support
Mobile extensions use different installation systems. ChutChut is being qualified one platform at a time before any phone is labelled supported.

First Android target — physical-device testing and store signing are in progress.
iPhone and iPad · Safari
A Safari Web Extension app and TestFlight review are required before release.

Compatibility is being evaluated; support is not yet certified.
Chrome on phones
Chrome does not currently install browser extensions on Android, iPhone, or iPad.
Privacy by architecture
ChutChut does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal information, browsing history, webpage content, filtering rules, match results, or usage analytics. It has no ChutChut server. Rules and preferences are stored by your browser on your device.
Why it requests access
Storage saves your choices. Access to ordinary HTTP and HTTPS webpages lets ChutChut apply the filters you selected. It cannot access browser-owned pages, extension stores, protected interfaces, or other extensions.
Current limits
Image filtering uses text supplied by the website—such as descriptions, captions, titles, links, and filenames. ChutChut does not identify people or symbols from image pixels in version 0.1.0. Protected pages and inaccessible embedded content may remain visible.
